I'm an Aussie now!!

Just returned from Australia where I took the pledge. After years of paperwork, money, and waiting, I finally got it!

At the ceremony: the mayor of Burwood, me, and the vice-mayor

I stayed with my friend Ben while I was in town for the ceremony. He got his Oz citizenship just 3 weeks earlier. Here we are pictured with a poster of our mutual musical hero, Harry Nilsson.

Long time no update

It's been quite a while since my last update, and people have actually written to me to remind me they read this blog, so I'll do my best to update it more frequently.

A lot has happened.

We moved to Bangkok on 5/5/5, a somewhat auspicious number, as "555" also sounds like laughing in Thai language.

Settled in a condo in Bangna, on the outskirts of Thailand. If you use Google Earth, you can check this out to see our condo.

The Taiwan online project is going full steam ahead. We're still planning to launch on schedule in August. Seems like I've spent more time in Taiwan than Thailand since I moved here.

A couple weeks ago Nuca and I spent some time in Koh Samui and Koh Phangan and attended the Full Moon Party, which turned out to be a huge bore. 20,000 drunken idiot British kids, bad vibes, and horrible, loud, "music". However Koh Phangan has some very quiet and beautiful beaches. I'd go back for that. Hopefully they will still be that way when I return. Things are clearly developing rapidly there.

In a couple weeks I'm heading back to Australia for just a few days. Big news. Will update here after I return.
